Introduction to the language of guitar including;

1. Naming the guitar parts

2. Tuning the guitar

3. String names and notes

4. Introducing chords

5. Basic Theory

The aim of this section is to introduce the learner to the language of guitar to enable the student to talk to other musicians, explain ideas placing strong foundations for the guitarists future playing.

 

Basic Programme includes;

1. Introduction to the pentatonic scales

2. Building on basic chords introducing more   complex chords and the sturcture of the chords

3. The guitar solo and the ability to identify the key to play the guitar solo

4. Introduction to Arpeggios

5. Introduction to the modes

The aim of the section is to build on the students knowledge and language of guitar, learn to identify the key of songs and which scales would fit the song and where to play the scale. The goal being to open up the guitar neck and see there are no boundaries to the choice of notes played.
